Bloodrose Andrea Cremer Books
*spoiler free*WOW! This is one of the harder reviews I've had to write. For one, I am not going to give anything away, which really limits what I'm going to say and two, I don't even know where to begin. This book is an entire package of awesomeness. Andrea Cremer gave this book everything and in turn I walked with a feeling I've not felt in a long time. Aside from Cassie's books, I've only felt this way over one other series and that was the Twilight series.
I'll be honest I had major anxiety before sitting down to read BLOODROSE and it wasn't only due to the fact I knew it was the last in the series (sobs), but I knew Andrea was going to make me cry, hope, yearn for characters who weren't going to make it to the end of this book, make me sigh with her romance scenes, make me laugh with the comedic lines from a few of her characters and she made me a little scared of what Calla's choice would be. In the end I was shocked, but I felt this book exceeded every expectation I had for it, which is one of the huge reasons I absolutely love Andrea's books. Andrea's proven she isn't afraid to make her characters suffer, and she definitely ups that in BLOODROSE. She's not afraid to give them obstacles and have them take journeys that will push them past the brink of what they can take.
This book is full of heart pounding action, sob worthy heart break, love, loss, pain, grief, new friendships/relationships formed, romance, humor, anxiety, and moments of total elation. This book made me feel every emotion I possibly could and then some. I felt like I was completely invested and emotionally connected to each character. This story isn't one that I could easily predict, although there were some things that happened that I hoped would be in this book and plenty of things that completely blind sided me and made me want to yell at the book, or maybe throw it and then pick up again and hug it.
Andrea's writing is brilliant. It's emotionally gripping, her series is addicting, thrilling and it's one that fans of YA, paranormal books and of course wolves will enjoy. My favorite aspect of this book and the entire series is how Andrea's wolves mirror those of actual wolves, and not Hollywood's rendition of werewolves. If you loved NIGHTSHADE & WOLFSBANE, just wait till you read BLOODROSE. This series and the characters have each found a place in my all time favorite's spot. I'll definitely be reading these books again. I HIGHLY recommend picking this book up.

Bloodrose Andrea Cremer Books Reviews
Bloodrose is the third and final book in the Nightshade trilogy by Andrea Cramer. I am going to dive right into this review, but know that if you are not familiar with the series, you may be a little lost in the review, and I do my best to not post spoilers.
After reading Wolfsbane, book 2 in the series, I was extremely excited to pick up Bloodrose. Bloodrose picks up right where Wolfsbane leaves off, and the book is full of action from the very beginning. Shay and Calla and their new searcher friends are on a quest to obtain all the pieces of the Scion's Cross and to defeat their enemies, the Keepers. Where Wolfsbane was slow on occasion, Bloodrose was fast paced and kept me turning the pages.
The love triangle between Ren, Shay, and Calla is still going strong, and since this is the final book, we know that Calla will have to choose one of them, but it is never really clear who Calla will pick. Andrea Cramer does a great job balancing drama, action, and emotions in her books and up until the last portion of the book, I was loving it. Then, the end happened.
I am sorry to say that I am very disappointed in the ending of this book, and therefore the series. I was left speechless, and it took me awhile to process what happened. The end is completely unexpected, and Andrea Cramer threw me for a loop. The way the love triangle is resolved just seems completely unfair, and really, it about broke my heart. I was left with more sadness than satisfaction, and confusion more than clarity. Why I can theoretically understand the events of the ending, that doesn't mean that I like it, and unfortunately this ruined the series for me. I don't know that I would want to recommend this series, knowing how it ends.
The writing is excellent, the characters engaging, the world is creative, but the unsatisfying ending puts this story and the series in the tragedy category. Because of this, I am rating Bloodrose 2 stars.
I know that not everyone will agree with my take on Bloodrose. This review is my own opinion, and all these thoughts are just my own opinion.
